SORRY THERE'S NO PHOTO OF CFI, BUT HERE'S A PIC OF MY FRIENDS TETSU AND BILLY BAT
CFI, ca. 1983-1984, NYC
CFI, or CFI Process, was the name of a project I had with Tetsu Inoue back in the early 80s. He had a MemoryMoog, and I had a tape machine; we shared a love for ambient music and banging on found objects, among other things. He had a nice place uptown on Broadway, where we'd meet at irregular intervals to record. I might show up with some chunks of metal I'd found somewhere and mounted guitar pickups to, and he'd be scribbling sketches with crayons, to serve as inspiration. Tetsu has gone on to fame in the "Minimal Music" world.
